3/7/2011 3:36:09 PM Not "frequent reboots," but today, for example, it simply went out and the screen showed a blinking dash. I removed the floppy and cd from the computer, disconnected the external drive also, and turned off the PC; after 20 secs., I turned it on again. Windows took a report on it, and said a diagnostic should be done. (I did not do so yet.) Thanks, and Fare Well! Lidia

11/30/2010 12:51:35 PM Screen with the words: ...cannot show the webpage got "put" and there's no way to click it off; so we had to turn PC off, to get rid of it.

10/19/2010 6:44:25 PM We just recently installed a new hard drive, removed the old one, as it had become corrupted. Now we have re-installed the system disk which makes the PC start as when it was released from the factory. We had a "Mechanic" program toward the end of last Hard Drive functionality, & finally, a system backup was made (we hope, as a result, the old HD will show the old data.

Had I known that, tho' computers normally go down in price, EXTRA RAM is treated as ANTIQUITY, with the price going UP & UP the older each certain type gets (as if it takes up so much "storage" room wherever it is), I'd have gotten some **RIGHT** AWAY !! Verrry SAD, the RAM pricing ... especially when the computer owner [FIRST one new, & not a hand-me-down, ever] is on Social Security! :o( :o( :o( :o( :o(
