7/19/2012 8:42:14 AM I am almost sure I purchased the cpt in 2004. I use both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Firefox does better with my facebook page. When I used Internet Explorer on fb it kept freezing up. I have separate email accounts on each. I just spoke with my internet provider and was told I get up to 7000 kilobits per second, but there was no option to click on that so she told me to click on 5000.

9/26/2012 8:26:43 PM Computer has gotten slower. Sometimes will lock up and takes several minutes for it to continue. On occasion it must be rebooted. A photo program will not load and it always tries to load it when it boots up.

6/11/2009 10:56:21 PM Only thing I wish this one had was a larger hard drive,and more memory. Dell never seems to put in enough memory or large hard drives in basic computers. They put just enough stuff in each basic one to work, but thats about it. Maybe there ought to be a standard for a basic computer. Like at least 2GB of memory, and at least a 250GB hard drive. Also a better video card would be a bonus.

12/1/2009 12:00:29 PM I was having trouble booting up with the original hard drive, so I installed another good, used hard drive, so there are now 2 hard drives - with the operating system installed on the newer one. I occasionally still get the message: "Hard Drive Read Error", when I wish to Restart or Reboot, rather than startup from cold. It seems to take too long to download files from the Internet.

This is a DSL hookup with our telephone company, CenturyLink. I am paying extra for a faster speed. At times, this computer seems slow, but it is usually during busier times of day (when usage is high.

2/11/2011 8:43:30 PM Ever since the CA Technologies Software was installed by the fine people over at COMPUSA in El Paso, Texas on Viscount and Gateway West my computer has been running very slow and especially the internet. Takes atleast 20 to 30 seconds for a internet page to pop up and get this I have Turbo Boost High Speed Internet. I actually have to unplug this computer and connect my other older computer to surf the web at faster speeds. This CA software ever since it was installed has made my computer run super super slow and it aggrivates me. I do not want to remove the CA technologies software because I paid hard work money for it.

9/3/2010 7:27:06 PM this computer takes between 45-60 minutes from point of start up to begin to function at a reasonable rate!! until then, there is a MASSIVE DELAY to do just ONE function. this is probably due to the very limited amount of memory (half a gig)it was originally endowed with, and several programs which are never used but which i am unable to identify to safely remove them. the computer insists on starting up all these programs which are never used.

Still can't get network to communicate, and it appears that there is a hidden firewall still on my computer that I cannot find and uninstall. Possible virus(s) on computer.
