6/7/2010 12:25:59 PM I'm not able to connect to the internet for the past week. I keep shutting down computer and disconecting everything from the modem per Comcast technitian's instructions. This is done daily and sometimes it does not work. i have to keep the computer running so I don't loose connectivity. I was told at first that the network card might be faulty.

4/23/2014 3:12:15 PM The Dell computer as a whole we have been very satisfied. Recently, I haven't been because the poor thing is going on 10 years old. Our business has been struggling so bad for the past 5-6 years that we just haven't had the funds to purchase a new one, so this is what I have to work with. As soon as, we are financially able we will have a new one, and I will be very happy. In the meantime, I am just trying everything to free up space and make it as fast as possible.

FYI: Please be advised I protect my PC, printer, fax, scanner, telephone, copier, etc. with APC battery back up plus surge protector.

As far as web brousing and fast starup I'm satisfied, however I don't play games on my pc anymore as the newer games don't run as smooth. I should no doubt by a new graphics card and maybe I'd be more satisfied. but other than that I'm satisfied. However recently my Internet has been running slow. sorry for waffling on a bit.

2/9/2010 2:00:28 PM My biggest concern is that When I have a problem - I can plan to spend close to two hours being switched from one DELL dept. to another with Holds of up to 30 minutes at each switch. With all the unemployed people in the world - DELL needs to hire and train some of them to make their technical services More efficient. Here are today's examples: 1) Yesterday I received a pop-up message that my Norton Anti-Virus program would expire in 30 days - leaving me without protection - if I don't renew. That was VERY strange since I had only purchased last month and had not even been billed for it. Well, the bill came today and sure enough there was my purchase listed (Order # 14132550l) for $50.62 with Transaction Date of 2/02/10. So I called Financial Servies who relayed me to someone else who relayed me to someone else (meaning another dept.) who sent me to yet another. No one could answer the question as to How Long that $50.62 purchase is good for. Each "Hold Time" far exceeded the promised 10 minutes. On the last transfer I asked to speak to the dept. supervisor or manager when I was yet again told she could not help me. Unbelievable but she hung up on me. I trust SOMEONE with knowledge will respond to me; you can reach me via e-mail or at 919-466-8451. 2) Last week I was told when I had a near "crash" with all kinds of threats and viruses pop-ups that the Norton Anti-Virus needed assistance to keep me from future "crashes" and I was sold the PC Tune-Up and was told to call when I received the CD and they would assist in the installation. I did so and after holding a while was told that another dept. would have to help with that so to "plaase hold." After 10 minutes of Busy Signals I received the dreaded message "If you'd like to make a call, please hangup." At that point I have tried to do the installation myslef and hope it is close to complete. I made my first call to DELL at 12:20 and it is now 2:49. Frustration and Disappointment are minor adjectives for what I feel and DELL's technical service pales by comparison to what I was promised by your CEO when I was stranded in a Chicao O'Hare Airport snowstorm with him and some of his staff in 2005. He told me I would never be sorry if I purchased a DELL. Won't even get into it here but a recently-purchaed DELL printer still lacks FAX service eventhough I have a designated, separate FAX line. 8/22/2009 7:22:49 PM This is my first computer and I am surprised that for the amount spent it should perform so irratically three and a half years later. At times I can't get on line and resort to defraging and shutting down the modem and the computer to try to reset everything. Sometimes it is very slow in retrieving Word documents. The D drive is not responsive at times. Disk burner does not work. SD cards inserted into slot do not get read, however SD cards in DYNEX card readers do. When shutting down I have to wait for windows that say "End pgmsprtcmd.exe" and other messages which I need to click for the computer to shut down. It just dowsn't seem it should be like this.
