9/3/2017 9:02:57 AM I have been very happy with the performance of this computer since I purchased it brand new in 2010. My issues have been with the McAffee security software I have been using until now. The computer runs great after starting up from the boot but slowly after starting up from sleep mode. Additionally all programs and actions have a few second hesitation when run after awakening from sleep mode that is not there when run directly after a boot/reboot. Over the last few days the McAffee software shuts off its protection during sleep mode and warns me that I am not protected when I get the computer going again. McAffee prompts me with a choice to "fix it" or "ignore". This is ridiculous since the McAffee software is supposed to be running constantly when the power is on. I also find it very suspicious that changes are happening to my computer/McAffee software when I have not made any changes whatsoever.

7/30/2011 2:47:23 PM Other than the odd windows hiccup & the occasional freeze-up during the first few runs of a new game, the Asus G73 is a freakin' POWERHOUSE gaming machine that doubles as a design beast for all of my Adobe software, including fast video rendering and audio mixing. All in all, I give it an 8.5/10

7/30/2011 4:46:57 PM Other than the occasional Windows problem & stall/crash/freeze on the first few runs of a newly installed game, this powerhouse laptop outperforms my desktop by a wide margin and is one of the finest gaming laptops out there. All of my Adobe software runs beautifully on this machine, and rendering video with Premiere Pro is easily 4x faster on this beast than my desktop machine. I give the Asus G73 an 8.5/10 overall.
