5/5/2009 6:12:36 PM my only grip with this laptop is that Vista looks at dell packaged software as something other than microsoft product even though it is microsoft........explorer for example shows up as a dell product and vista has to ask you to allow it to run instead of just running it like any other microsoft product.

Furthermore unlike the updated software put out by Microsoft which is loaded with craplets, the previous versios of Microsfot Office run excelent onthis computer and allow greater and faster productivity than with the new software that isobject oriented.

I need to eventually update to Windows 7, just haven't done it yet. My wife doesn't want to go to 8 yet. I have two other laptops...one using Vista the other is a new MAC.

At times it will change to a blue screen with the message that a hardware problem needs correcting. I ignore this, manually turn it off and turn it back on. In general; however, it's not running slowly.
