10/25/2015 7:55:44 AM 2010 Dell Inspiron Laptop with 6 gig RAM. Internet work became very slow and sluggish, especially using IE and NetZero, which are the browser and email I use most, but not exclusively. It got to where NetZero and IE would only run for a minute or two without one or both "not responding" or crashing completely. Then it started do the same on FireFox, not quite as bad. On either, typing email finds me having to wait on the computer to catch up, and sometimes it never does, it just locks up and requires restarting. Slower than frozen molasses, like old dial up. I kept being told to quit using NetZero and quit using IE, because they were the problem. That's not really an acceptable solution. Then I got told that it needed to be wiped and have Windows 10 upgrade, which would definitely solve "all issues". I had this done (for free by friend), and the problems were not resolved at all, and others have been added. Constant warnings about insufficient memory, followed by going dark, or just going dark without warning. Computer will not start if any remote device is attached. Friend who did upgrade didn't put protection back on, so I put PCMatic on it, because I'd used that in the past on other machines and found it to be the best I had used. It does automatic scans every day and gives a report of what was fixed, but all the above problems are still there. Usually, when the internet and email problems are ongoing, there are messages saying it is because of a "long-running script". Apparently, PCMatic doesn't do anything about those. All these same problems exist on my office computer (an HP that was also just wiped and had Windows 8 re-installed, and my E-machine desktop at home that uses Vista). So is it true the only fix is to ditch IE and NetZero or can the scripts and whatever else is causing all the crap actually be stopped? Also, the Super Shield portion of won't let me open image files, saying that I don't have permission. My friend who did the Windows 10 upgrade already told me it's probably just too old and needs replaced, which I'm not buying. I think that's the easy "I don't want to fool with figuring out what's wrong and fix it" response. If you leave IE open with NetZero open while doing other tasks (which I do because I keep a couple of email providers open while working, since multi-tasking and a lot of the work involves email communication, etc.), after a few minutes it always just goes to spinning and becomes inactive, and has to be closed through Task Manager, because it is stuck. This also happens with Workspace email (from GoDaddy) and other sites. I had it "wiped" again by a paid guru, who did a "clean rebuild", and pretty much all the problems came right back, and PC Matic doesn't seem to be solving any of it. The office computer now has PC Matic on it, and nothing is being solved there either. I may need to just get a refund of PC Matic, and go back to AVG. Your scheduler doesn't work. I tell it to scan every morining at 4 am. I get scans at all hours of the day and night, except for 4 am every day, which i told it.

11/6/2012 7:56:38 PM The mouse is out of control and jumps around when I am typing. I often have freezes. I have a lot of trouble connecting to the internet, though that may be the fault of the modem or Verizon.
