1/9/2013 9:38:48 AM I only have DSL internet, not fios. It sometimes tells me my virtual memory is low. I run the disk cleanup and the de-frag often. There are several cookies that never go away when I delete all temporary files in internet explorer. I also am never (was able until a year or so ago) able to open a PDF file that comes to me in an email. It always opens in MS Word. I can download the PDF, but can't just click on it to get it to open because it opens in Word. I have to right click it and then tell it open with Adobe. I forget to do that sometimes and then I have to close it out of Word and start all over again. Drives me crazy. Not sure of the exact year I bought this Dell computer. I would have to go back and research. I have Windows XP.

First scan using PC Matic Main PC giviig much more trouble - even after many PC Matic scans - so far there have been no speedup/maintenance programme, free or purchased, that I have used over 5 years or more that have showed any discernible difference to my cmputers - esp not to the main PC - maybe it has other Hardware/software faults - it too is currnetly beiong upgraded to Windows 7 and extra 1GB memory Maybe Auslogics did seem to show some improvement - but only for a shot time

6/6/2009 11:23:01 PM I've recently found my computer to be lagging online and off. I've used AVG 8.0 and found no viruses, however it took almost 2 days just to scan. I can't find any unwarranted programs to remove. I am unable to watch video, except for Netflix sometimes. Most other video sites, such as Hulu, will have choppy sound and look like a depressed slide show. One of my jobs is working from home and if my computer were up to speed I'd be making a lot more money. From boot up to open one webpage to check my email takes about 8 or 9 minutes. :(
