I try and update them yet after it is done, says I need an update. It appears the updates do not take or it doesn't recognize that the updates have taken place. The computer has a fairly long bootup time and at times runs a bit slow.

We can watch DVDs, Webinars, and I think with high speed internet we can watch live streaming or webinars.

I don't have any viruses and my disc is pretty clean (doesn't need defragging). I might have a little too much in my ssystem tray, but it's no more than I've always had. Maybe my registry is messed up?

Just recently removed AVG AV software and replaced with CA AV software, which now has dramatically slowed down access to MS Explorer file management system.

Avast Virus cleaned and is currently keeping it virus free. One major coplaint is that the hinges on the laptop lid are stuck. Won't allow it to close without breaking.

Downloaded a program from dell that was supposed to be a fix and it didn't recognize a HDD at all. Losing patience and am between buying a new pc or just a HDD.

When printer is connected, it takes 1/2 hour to boot and be ready to open an internet browser. Lately, it will not boot unless it is in the same room as the wireless router. It will not boot off of the wireless access point, even though it registers as a device and the access point is working and delivering full signal.

That happened I believe when I was told by my previous Norton to backup and I mistakingly chose to back up to my computer itself and then could not find the backup to erase it from memory. I find Norton ghost files on D: and 1 restore point but don't know what happened. I took it to a computer repairman and he "wouldn't have any idea about Norton and windows or where the lack of memory could be."
