Without the discontinuance of XP, I would have been able to make replacement optinal. I hope PCMatic allows me to continue its usefulness into the future. It is a far superior platform to 7 and 8 that I use on my "five year replacement," and tablet, respectively.

6/12/2010 3:20:00 PM I bought a business model dell for my university course and for browsing the internet. So far it has done everything i could wish for, it plays Crysis etc. It has never gone wrong, never had a blue screen and it runs vista, win7 64 with no problems.

12/2/2009 4:52:56 PM The PC is fine - its all the software heros that "MUST" install & load their software to run all the time as if this was the only piece of software that was ever going to run on this PC. Then there is always the Windows "update" (and downgrade) issue that does things behind my back over which I have little control or knowledge or ability to "fix" once they have "updated". (Such as MsMpEng and BING and who knows what else.) Those are more the issues of with the PC than the brand and hardware itself. Also, you boast how PCMATIC is the "all in one" answer to my PC problems - that would be great even at $79.99. (It's $9.99 now $49.99 next year - or more?) But, it doesnt' indicate that PCMATIC will replace PC Optimize, PC Pitstop Disk Md, PC-Driver Alert, Regcure etc, etc or will I ALSO have to buy those if I want to do a complete "fix" that those products now supposedly accomplish ? ? ? ? It would be ideal to have one PC maintenance software (one icon, one registery load, one directory addition, one user screen to deal with, one scheduled "run behind my back" process, one install, one update, one ..... you get the idea) But, is it? Hope this helps. It is such a delight these days to deal with a company that not only knows how to spell "Customer Service", but also how to provide it. Are you one?

9/30/2011 9:24:57 PM My laptop before this one was beyond slow because of it's age, so I got this one while I was in school to "get me by." I wish I would have taken some of the higher options like a graphics card and more RAM. The speed of this computer is adequate and I don't play many games anymore anyways, but it can't play even the simplest MMORPG, WoW, without some serious lag.
