I get a message "not enough memory" It has 6 GB and Task Manager is reporting that I'm only using in the high 30 to low 40% of memory. This in a new clean install of Win7 Pro X-64 on my Compaq X-32 Persario CQ60 last week.

Might upgrade to Win 7, but since it's out of warranty, I'm also seriously considering installing Linux, which I use on my desktop. Biggest problems are with HP/Compaq specific utilitites, which often go out to lunch, and troubleshooting them is a real pain. (I'm at a relative's house, which is why I don't know connection speed. I will eventually re-run at home.)

4/16/2011 6:55:12 PM I love my laptop and use it all the time but lately it's been slower and taking it's sweet old time to download things and upload pics and whatnot. Also, twice I have had my computer tell me I have a virus and then I shut it down, restart it and it's gone, then I scan with McAfee Security and it says there wasn't a virus. So I don't know what's wrong with it.
