1/3/2010 9:31:34 AM It fullfills my needs for the time being. However, I am not satisfied with the fact, that HP suppied it with a 32 Bit Windows 7. I would have preferred it with the 64 bit version, as the 32 bit system cannot uttillize 4 GB RAM + 1 GB RAM on the graphiccard, at the same time.

THE FAMILY TREE MAKER SOFTWARE WANT TO BOG DOWN ONCE IN A WHILE - WHICH ANNOYS ME BECAUSE THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DEDICATED COMPUTER! I HAVE HAD SOME ISSUES WHERE I LOSE CONTROL OF THE CURSOR AND HAVE ONLY UP AND DOWN BUTTONS TO NAVIGATE WITH. MIGHT HAVE BEEN LOCK-UPS, I DO NOT KNOW!

Each tine the update is complete, the system can drag and take a long time to arrive at a point where I am able to fully begin my work for the day. I was provided a warning that I had an attack that caused potential harm to my privacy. Today, I started my association with PC Matic hoping that any virous can be tracked and repaired. My system is 13 years old buy does work and i don't wish to replace it any time soon.

5/9/2023 11:52:38 PM The fan started to fail and I would hear a grinding sound and I'd finish my work quickly and turned it off. This started about a year ago and went on for months, but then stopped and has only happened occasionally in the last few months. However, when I turn it on, I have to hit enter within 15 seconds or the computer will turn off.It always turns back on right away, though, and I'm careful to hit enter quickly. I'm afraid I didn't know much about this computer when I got it and still don't know that much. It's pretty much a case of "I don't know what I don't know." I know it's too full. I have most of it saved on external storage, but I keep things on the desktop for easy access.

I have a little problem with updating the system, every time windows says that there is an update it doesn´t work. He gets slow again and after a while I get the message that the update failed. Windows problem solver found some problems but couldn't solve it. Oh and since a few days I don't have any sound? He says that there is no audio player or something like that? Maybe I have deleted some important things so some systems (updating and audio) don't work any more?

Quick to start up (MSCONFIG), using a wireless router with a large network of gadgets attached and still has not played a significant role in slowing things down. Overall, I am happy with the laptop, just do not use it as often as I thought I would.
